Armand Cabrera brings to his canvas the insight gathered from more than two decades as a successful production artist in the computer games and entertainment industry creating conceptual designs, background art, special effects animation and storyboarding. His clients include: LucasFilm Games, Disney, Electronic Arts, Virgin Entertainment, Nickelodeon, Microsoft and Paramount Pictures. From his studio in Northern Virginia, he continues his computer production career while also dedicated to landscape painting. He often completes his oil paintings on location in one sitting, alla prima style in the studio or out of doors.
Armand Cabrera has been the subject of feature articles in SouthwestArt, American Art Collector, Art of the West, and International Artist magazines. Museum exhibitions include: Haggin Museum, Laguna Art Museum, Napa Valley Museum, Pasadena Museum of History, and the Pasadena Museum of California Art in California. Utah museum exhibitions include the St. George Art Museum and the Human History Museum in Zion National Park. He is an Artist Member of the Laguna Plein Air Painters Association.
Armand Cabrera is the "Artist in Residence" at Riverbend Park in Great Falls, Virginia. He writes weekly articles about his painting process and historical artists on his well-received blog, ArtAndInfluence.blogspot.com.
