A lifelong artist, Ellie Freudenstein earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with Honors at UCLA. There she continued with graduate work under William Brice, Jan Stussey, and Rico Lebrun. After multi-careers in art education, advertising, and motherhood, she returned to plein air painting, based in her "Sea Pines Studio" on the Santa Barbara, California coast. Ellie Fruedenstein is an Artist Member of the American Impressionist Society, California Art Club, and Oil Painters of America. She is a Signature Member of Women Artists of the West. Museum exhibitions include: the Springville Museum of Art (Springville, Utah), and in California at the Carnegie Art Museum, the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum, and the Pasadena Museum of History.
