Mark Roberts graduated from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo with a degree in graphic design. Later, he received his formal art education at the California Art Institute, studying under various respected artists such as Neil Boyle, Quan Ngo, Norman Nason, and Glen Orbik. Since that time, as a professional artist, he has returned to the Institute to teach his own classes on drawing. From 1997 to 2000 Roberts worked at Walt Disney Television Animation designing backgrounds and props for various animated series such as "Recess", "Hercules", and "Lloyd in Space". In addition, he has worked in the entertainment advertising industry as a sketch artist with "Ransom" as one of his credits. Mark Roberts is an Artist Member of the California Art Club and has exhibited his work in the 89th, 91st, and 92nd Annual Gold Medal Exhibition at the Pasadena Museum of History.
