Pastel artist Susan E. Roden received her fine art training at The Cleveland Institute of Art and the Art Institute of Houston. She has extensive experience in national juried exhibitions including the prestigious Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club in New York City where she received the Medal of Honor and First Place in 1994 and the Merit Award in 2002 at the Pastel Journal Third Annual Pastel 100 in New Mexico. Her work was featured on the cover of Pastel Artist International Magazine in 2002 with an accompanying article on her technique and an award of merit from the Pastel Journal. She is a member of the San Diego Museum of Art Artists Guild.
