Isabel Wadsworth received her education at the Wellesley College in Massachusetts where she graduated in 1971 with a major in Art History and a minor in Fine Art. She received her Masters Degree in Art History at the Villa Schifanoia in Florence, Italy. After living in New York City for several years, she moved in 1976 to Los Angeles where she concentrated on portraiture. For over twenty-seven years she has painted personal and business portraits - single and group, formal and informal. In addition, she paints still-lifes and landscapes, both in the studio and en plein air. Museum exhibitions include the Pasadena Museum of History, the Frederick R. Weisman Museum of Art at Pepperdine University, and the Phippen Museum in Prescott, Arizona. Isabel Wadsworth is a member of the American Society of Portrait Artists and the California Art Club.
