Several years ago, Tirage Fine Art Gallery received a letter from Lauren Von Der Ahe, the teen-age daughter of a client, describing her class project to raise funds to battle Dystonia in honor of her sister, Kristin. Dystonia is a neurologic movement disorder that causes uncontrollable muscle contractions in one or more parts of the body. The poignant account of Kristin's daily life with Dystonia, struck a nerve with us at Tirage Fine Art Gallery and a portion of the proceeds from the Gallery's annual "Holiday Salon" Exhibition was donated to The Bachmann-Strauss Dystonia & Parkinson Foundation, resulting in a continued collaboration between the Gallery and The Bachmann-Strauss Foundation.
Now through March 30, 2012, Tirage Fine Art Gallery will donate 10% of the gallery retail price to The Bachmann-Strauss Foundation when the Bachmann-Strauss Foundation is mentioned at the time of purchase, either in person, by telephone, or from the extensive gallery website, www.tirageart.com.
With a gallery inventory of more than 4000 original artworks, Tirage Fine Art Gallery represents more than sixty recognized artists in styles ranging from traditional landscapes to plein air, impressionism, urban expressionism, figurative, photo realism, portraiture, and sculpture. Excluded are commissioned pieces and portraiture. Shipping charges and federal and local taxes (if applicable) will also not be included in the donation amount. California's current 8.75% sales tax does not currently apply to purchases shipped out of state.
The Bachmann-Strauss Dystonia & Parkinson Foundation was established in 1995 to find better treatments and cures for the movement disorders dystonia and Parkinson's disease and to provide medical and patient information. For more information visit www.dystonia-parkinson.org
