Tirage Fine Art Gallery was proud to be one of the sponsors of "Who is Sam? Sam Hyde Harris (1889-1977)" at the Pasadena Museum of History in 2007. This landmark exhibition, accompanied by a hard-bound 240 page catalogue, was the first to explore Harris' life-long artistic career, which spanned many different media and genres. Long considered a leader in the early California plein air movement, he was also known for his commercial work in the design of advertisements and posters for iconic Southern California industries such as Van de Kamp's Bakeries, and the Southern Pacific, Union Pacific, and Santa Fe Railroads. The Harris Estate periodically releases several paintings for acquisition. Prices upon request.
