Traveler: As a gift to the University of Southern California, retiring University President Steven Sample and his wife, Kathryn, commissioned Tirage artist, Ron Pekar to create a larger than life size monumental bronze sculpture of "Traveler", the University's iconic equestrian mascot for permanent placement in the center of campus, opposite the "Tommy Trojan" landmark sculpture. The monument dedication in May 2010 included the Spirit of Troy Marching Band, "Traveler" with his rider, the sculptor, and several thousand of the Trojan Family. |
